Preliminary success was found that “Kra chai(Fingerroot)  White Extract” has anti-COVID-19 activity in the test tube

 

 

After the Center for Life Science (TCELS) in collaboration with Mahidol University. In early June 2020, said the efficacy of the anti-COVID-19 properties of Kra chai(Fingerroot ) in the past made Kra chai(Fingerroot ) even more popular because the results showed that 6 extracts were 100% inhibiting SARS-CoV-2 and not cytotoxic as well.

 

“Kra chai” in English uses the word “Kaempfer” or “Fingerroot” , but the scientific name is “Boesenbergia rotunda (L.) Mansf”. It is a biennial plant that we often use rhizomes for cooking. But Krachai has properties from root to leaf.

The use of kra chai to combat COVID-19 is still a study in the laboratory. By using extracts from white kra chai which was extracted and used in the form of medicine. But if used in general food will have the following properties:

1. Kra chai leaves used to nourish elements, cure diseases, and neutralize the toxin
2. Kra chai roots used to relieve diuretic dysentery, used as an external drug to treat ringworm
3. Kra chai underground rhizomes, relieve abdominal pain, abdominal pain, and maintenance of hemorrhoids
